I would like to start with a small butthurt. Many people say that the game is govno, either without playing (there is no pirate game yet, then :3), or by playing, to put it mildly, incorrectly. With the first option, many rely on the opinions of people from the second option. Although I always didn’t care what others said, and I only evaluate everything after trying it personally, this situation really infuriates me. For example: a person, apparently not very far away, does Let’s play and plays like a fool, that is, killing absolutely everyone without thinking whether it should be done or not, gets -n number of points, accordingly, and says that the game is complete slag.
What can I say about this:
1. The person is not familiar with the series and the concept of the game.
2. This person doesn’t have the brains to google the previous parts of the series, or try it out personally, at least go through one normal mission (not a tutorial) from the same Blood Money.
3. Yes I have a buttheart :3
4. Yes from Hitman: Absolution shooter complete govno, but more on that later.
Let’s end this preface.
So the story about the bald guy Hitman has come to an end, and the apogee of the story is Hitman: Absolution, which evokes a double feeling. Probably the main problem (not a drawback) of the new Hitman is that the game is radically different from previous games in the series. The changes affected everything they could touch (except for the main character’s hair :3). Gameplay, plot, game mechanics have all changed, a little more than completely. Let’s start with the plot.
Our former contact Diana betrays the agency where she worked for many years with 47. We are ordered to kill her for what she did. We carry out the order at the direction of the agency, but before her death, Diana asks to fulfill her last will, namely to save a girl close to her from the agency. By the way, memories of the agency’s experiments on him emerge in 47’s memory in order to make him an ideal killing machine working for them. But as in life, any mechanism malfunctions and our friend runs away with the girl and saves her in a church shelter. This is where the plot ends, so as not to spoil it I won’t say any further. Let’s move on.
There’s not much to say about the graphics, and there’s no arguing about “texture-based1. 1!1" I don’t see the point. The graphics are not bad, in some places they show very beautiful landscapes of a rainy city. For me personally, the setting is very reminiscent of Max Payne’s noir. There are, of course, a lot of twins in the crowd, but in principle you can find fault with everything if you really want to.
The main advantage of https://bouncingball8casino.co.uk/ the sound is the music and the fact that it seems “live”, a lot of conversations, screams and roar of the crowd, the sounds of distant music all sound pleasant, I also want to note the absence of identical dialogues between the key characters, I also remember telephone conversations in the crowd, creating the effect of crowd saturation.
5. Gameplay, Game mechanics
Here you can expand your story for a long time. So, as a game from a series, there is no way to avoid comparisons with previous parts, and the differences are a carriage and a small cart. It’s probably better to start with less global changes. I was very disappointed with the weapon carrying system. Now you can hide absolutely everything you can pick up! The weapons panel contains 9 (or 10 I don’t remember exactly) slots into which you can fill, attention: a tape recorder, a figurine, a vase, a screwdriver, a mug, an ax, a bottle, large weapons – sniper rifles, shotguns, assault. rifles, machine guns, while you can have, for example, a bottle, a sniper and a shotgun at the same time, under a jacket and many more items including pistols and all sorts of items that I forgot to mention. In my opinion, this is a very big mistake by the developers.
5.1. Visibility system, instinct, camouflage.
Instinct is another minus, in my opinion, which gives all sorts of hints, loopholes and so on, but everything would be fine, they can be turned off, but in some moments it is simply impossible not to use it, because instinct also makes you unrecognizable to the guards for a while, and not everywhere there are different options for passing. The disguise can now be revealed by a group of people in the same form as you, or when the hero is in a place where you are not supposed to be. Also, the form may arouse suspicion if you were noticed somewhere while performing a violation, but only if the person who noticed you manages to transmit the items by radio or in some other way. Instinct also involves “snap shooting”, which is taken from Splinter Sell: Conviction and spends a share of instinct for almost simultaneous destruction of several opponents.
5.2. Gameplay in general
In the previous Blood Money we were used to fulfilling contracts, but here you can forget about it. Yes, there will be some missions with the task of eliminating the target(s), but they will be structured a little differently. Absolution has a clear plot, which Blood Money does not have, and we are led along this plot throughout the game and not always evenly. In general, the game could be called Hitman: Conviction, it is very similar to the last Splinter Sell, a good half of the game in which we do not need to kill the target, but to escape from pursuit, for example, or go to the desired point, and then find the target. The game also throws us into different story situations. Since the game was conceived as a stealth game, the shootings here are not fully developed, the artificial intelligence is stupid, and you will not get any pleasure from such a playthrough.
Here, as usual, they wanted to make it interesting, but it didn’t turn out very well. The meaning of the “contracts” mode (multiplayer) is this: one of the players creates a competition and sets 3 goals and conditions for their destruction, for all the conditions met you are given money with which you can buy a weapon or improve the existing one and everything would be interesting, but these contracts can be completed in 30 seconds by starting wild shooting and earning about 150,000, that is, in 10 minutes you can save up money for a sniper rifle for 1600000, and in another 10 improve it to the maximum, such things.
Conclusion: the game was not bad, but very controversial in some aspects. If you are a fan of completing Blood Money on the most difficult difficulty level without straining yourself, then the new Hitman: Absolution will seem very easy to you, but for many players, making the gameplay easier will be beneficial.
My rating:
Graphics: 8/10
Sound: 10/10
Gameplay: Stealth – 7/10; Shooter – 2/10
Plot: 7/10
Newness: 6/10
Multiplayer: only with friends
Overall rating: 7/10
Recommendation: play Hitman like Hitman, and not like Kane & Linch, its shooter is very crap, in a way it’s not designed for.
