This is my personal opinion. It may differ from yours. The review was made on the version for iOS (iPhone SE).
INMOST – 2D platformer with horror and quest elements, from the developers of Hidden Layer Games. I only had positive emotions from going through it. It took me about 6 hours to complete the game. I will try to write this review as spoiler-free as possible.
What kind of story is this?
The plot is built around three characters: a little girl experiencing problems with her parents; a man trying to get into a strange castle; a knight who strayed from the path of loyalty due to his greed.
The destinies of the heroes are intertwined with an invisible thread of pain, loss and anger.
As I wrote above, the gameplay is based on three characters between which you cannot freely switch. Each has its own characteristics:
the girl cannot jump high and is not distinguished by herculean strength, so she is left to crawl along ventilation shafts and drag chairs and stools in order to climb somewhere;
a man can do anything (not sexism), the only thing he can’t do is engage in a fist fight with his opponents (here you’ll have to use cunning);
the clumsiest of our trio is a knight, but there is a cool grappling hook and a huge sword that we will swing left and right, and sometimes up.
The secondary characters dilute the https://europa777casino.co.uk/ gloomy atmosphere of the game with humor (this statement does not apply to the girl’s parents, they move the plot forward).

This cat boy begged me to unlock the grill so he could get inside. Guess what cats do when you open the door for them?
Not without collecting additional materials, namely fragments of pain and pages with various drawings and notes. For the fragments we can get to know the ENT games better, we just need to take them to the local dealer.
The same huckster
The enemies are black slime, which can take on different shapes. There are about 4–5 types of enemies in total. This crowd is diluted by hunters who meet several times throughout the game, but will force you to put off a new brick house.
The only problem I encountered during the passage was the small action buttons (there were two control modes to choose from, but the gamepad turned out to be the most convenient). More than once it burned when I missed the jump button and died. The movement stick also lived its own life; at times it was hard to get down from a ledge and not accidentally take a leap of faith.
These are definitely pixels?
The graphics really amazed me. One gets the impression that this is not a pixel platformer, until you look at the characters, everything is worked out in detail and there are no complaints about it. The effects look in keeping with the theme, without being pretentious or eye-catching. Get ready for the picture to be in cold colors, I recommend playing at night and without light so that your eyes don’t get tired.
The locations are made according to the principle: “we will come back here again, so get a new staircase”. Most of the previous doors and nooks require things that will be given out later in the story. Such a system was in God of War.
Through the mouth of a child the truth is spoken
The game has voice acting, however, the voice acting is only present in the moments for the knight, and in several other scenes. Sounded truly professionally, as they say, “with feeling, sense and arrangement”. The announcers don’t just monotonously read the text, so you start to believe them.
The musical accompaniment is also ok. It changes during the game, for all characters and for each part of the location there is different music.
Love story.
I can say that I don’t regret the 6 hours spent. I want you to also enjoy this visual and musical design, feel the story, despite the inconvenient controls. The game is truly made with love, it is worth noting that this is the debut work of Hidden Layers Games.
