Look Your Loot review! or mobile card mice.

The roguelike genre is not new for a long time and in order to bring something fresh to it you need to try, as Igor Solntsev tried in principle (I hope I read it correctly) with his game Look Your Loot! The game is a very beautifully designed, typical roguelike with an endless generation of the playing field where you take on the role of a glorious and brave mouse adventurer who descends into a dark dungeon. The game has several playing fields, the main difference of which is their size and the rules of the selected mode.

To be specific:

The first and most common mode, this is such an endless adventure, you walk around a 3×3 or 4×4 field until you find a way out or die, of course you don’t have to break into the first door you see, but we’ll look into that later.

The second mode is 54 cards. You are given a field with dimensions of 2×2 and 3×4. Here you also walk around your own small dungeon, but you are limited by 54 cards, after which the field stops updating and all new cards are replaced by the exit door (a truly saving card will become your enemy when you reach a high place in the player rankings).

The third and most unusual mode is somewhat similar to the second, but has a number of differences. Yes, here we are also limited by the cards on the field, but when the cards run out, it’s not the exit door that appears, but a transition to another room, larger and with a new “deck” of cards.

The fourth and final mode of the main set is a cooperative race of 2 mice from one phone. If you remember playing Worms, you will understand the principle of “go, pass it on to someone else”. Only unlike the same fighting worms, the main task is for both mice to survive.

I will name the last two modes separately, since they themselves are not in the main pool. Namely this:

Puzzle mode where they completely invent a situation for you, from the items in the bag with the amount of HP, to the placement of enemies and the sequence of the dungeon update map.

Laboratory is a mode that speaks for itself “attention, balance on vacation”. I played very little, but I suspect this is something from the relatives of the test servers where they are trying to test updates.

Next, let’s talk about monsters and I https://betxstarcasino.co.uk/ want to say right away that there are a lot of them, not all of them are of course varied in terms of mechanics, but all of them are very beautifully designed.

The first type of monsters are ordinary monsters. Pumpkins, crocodiles, undead and big angry cats. All of them represent the main army of enemies with whom we will fight. Their main difference is the amount of maximum HP that we need to bring to zero in order to remove the enemy from our road.

The second type is already special monsters. They usually have unique mechanics and some are capable of attacking.
Here the bestiary is filled with pyromancers, sectarians who receive a buff to health and damage for each cultist on the field, and he also deals fire damage to auxiliary cards that he borders on, so it’s better to kill him quickly.
The next ones are vampire bats, they are harmless in themselves, they initially have low HP and a weak attack, but for every successful attack on you or on a healer, their HP increases, it is better to avoid them, but if you are already involved in a battle, then kill them immediately and do not delay.
Guardians, or as the game calls them, spooks, may not be lethal and are generally easy monsters for you to bypass, every turn they can pretend to be rags and you can jump over them, but they always have exactly as much HP as you have, and if you go head-on you can be left with minimal health.
The last monster from the current version is called o_O with the description ‾|_(-.-)_|‾. He is a zombie mouse who loses health every turn, I actually saw him once and he died pretty quickly.

And finally, the most terrible, third type of dungeon monsters called bosses. Big, angry and very biting. But with very nice rewards, because after defeating them you can either upgrade your mouse, and a chest will appear on the field with the very useful loot that will help in your race.
The first boss that appeared in the initial version is a huge rat. Doesn’t have any abilities other than huge HP. In fact, the most harmless, because it is almost no different from an ordinary monster.
The second boss you can meet is Dropi. The fruit of the developer’s connection with the game community. A big toad with a lot of HP and a thirst for attention, because if you make a move without bordering on him, he does damage to you, isn’t it, honey??
My third most hated boss is Jack. Well, the one with the head of a pumpkin, he is immediately presented as the killer of your coins, healers and other goodies, because he turns all the cards adjacent to him into pumpkins. And although he can turn monsters into small pumpkins, I guarantee that he will drink your blood a lot because he will do more harm than good, especially after his death, because after it all the cards turn into pumpkins with 1 HP, it doesn’t seem to be critical, well, wow, what a shame, because you would like to take that weakling, but it’s no longer there.
Evil Fire Lord will be 4 your boss. This guy may seem like a friend of the pyromancers, but in reality he hates everyone. Every turn he deals damage around himself in 4 directions, but you can dodge this, because every turn he hits not only horizontally and vertically, but also diagonally to the left and right. The best medicine against this guy is either something long-range (which not everyone really has) or a couple of strong daggers from your bag, more on them later.
And finally we came to the last boss Nuribashi laughing, and yes, his name is telling. It is a huge mountain of red-hot lava, has a lot of HP, and with each death, laughingly returns to the board with health reduced by half. This will last him 3 times before he gets knocked out.

After defeating Nuribashi, a door will appear through which we can exit to finish the race and complete the achievement, but if you already have the achievement, the door will become your almost unkillable enemy. It will interfere with the passage and cannot be jumped over, but even if the Fire Lord destroys it, it will return immediately from the deck, and will always be on top. So after the door appears, the bosses are reset and begin to appear in the same order from the rat to the laugher. And if someone hasn’t understood yet, new doors will also appear. So in the end you will either die or go out the “saving” door with the feeling that you are Naritsa and you were fired.

The review is heading towards the end, but we still haven’t talked about who exactly we will play for.

At the moment as I write there are 11 in the game! classes with unique abilities and items. Briefly about each:

Mister Mouse Knight. Master of the shield, and if the shield has more strength than the enemy’s HP, then the shield doesn’t just absorb damage down to one like others, but it absorbs ALL damage and spends 1 unit of strength. The easiest to learn and also the starting character.

Mister Fire Mage. Everything is simple here, the best friend of fireballs, because he can charge them and use them to cause damage, and a great magician, because he can turn enemies into chickens.

Masked Hero Thief. Useful because it has items that can instantly kill an enemy, opens chests without master keys like other mice, and is not afraid of losing in a mini-game.

Crazy Rusty Paladin. This guy doesn’t care about safety, because he’s made of meat and forged in steel! Does not take damage from traps and turns shields into lightning, and with upgrades even into chain lightning!

Destroyer lover of big badabum. Makes bombs from barrels and does not take any damage from bombs. Capable of causing a hail of explosives and the screams of his enemies to fall upon the field.

Dark Druid and also my favorite hero. Every turn without a fight, he restores his health, but receives damage from the fireballs that he activates, and also has a powerful splash with damage depending on the missing HP.

Ser Lancelot, knight and protector. Has a huge spear that pierces monster after monster, causing damage equal to the first enemy attacked. best revealed on large maps.

Berserker summoned for battles. Each skirmish will gain additional HP, and each turn without a fight will lose HP. A very strong hero, but with a big disadvantage. All the gold that can be spent on leveling up and buying new heroes is taken with it, leaving you nothing.

Assassin is the most toxic of mice, but also my second favorite. Receives reduced damage from poison and scatters poisoned daggers behind him, so it’s worth leading large monsters directly in your path. When opening a barrel, it deals damage to nearby monsters. Masthev, imba, don’t counter. Joke.

Plague doctor "healer" of the dungeon inhabitants. The most flexible character of them all. Capable of equally inflicting damage by inflicting damage and destroying the undead, and being treated with first aid kits.

The last class of the current version is the archer. For each turn without a fight, he receives a bonus to his shot ability. Very effective against bosses, if you pull the string enough you can kill with one shot!

Our heroes have their own leveling up in the store for gold and gems, a currency that can be bought, but is easily farmed, there are a bunch of items, both class and neutral, but I still don’t have to reveal all the tricks of the game. And remember, be brave, don’t be afraid of big cats even if you’re just a mouse, because great things start from small things!
